Clips from an experimental fashion film, based on the exploration of a poetic machine visualization art direction.
We went into this hyper-indie shoot with the narrative intent to express the creative process as witnessed by an AI or other algorithmic structure.
Poetry in the Performance
Back in 2023 I started planning a small, live-action shoot. I didn't have my usual storytelling—just a killer art direction and the notion that I wanted to express what it meant to be a human analyzed through the constant onslaught of algorithms and machine language that we face everyday.
In some ways we were looking for the soul—trying to understand human creativity and express it as if we were the nascent AI learning what it means to be a human through copying alone.
That search drove us to this collection of meditative moments—sitting somewhere between glitch and painterly. Beautiful and uncertain, but like all true creativity a delightful journey to go on.
